Summer Horse Camp

Our Summer Horse Camp has been in operation for over 45 years. Nominated for favorite summer horse camp in years passed, parents and campers continue to enjoy the safe, fun and nurturing environment we provide.

Whether your child has never experienced the world of horses, is "Horse Crazy" or currently taking riding lessons, our camp offers something for all ages and ability levels. Beginner campers will learn the basics while more advanced riders will be challenged and discover something new. We want your child to have a memorable camp experience full of horses, riding and hands on learning.

Riding Lesson:

Each day campers will have a riding lesson on a horse of their choice. Our closely supervised instruction will provide students with a solid riding foundation and the necessary skills to communicate properly with their horse. During riding lessons, riders benefit from a 1:4 instructor-to-rider ratio, ensuring quality instruction while encouraging skill development and confidence. Beginner riders receive additional support from a dedicated leader to promote safety and build a strong foundation. Our facility features three riding arenas, including a fully equipped indoor arena, allowing lessons to continue comfortably and safely during inclement weather.

Games & Contests:

To make learning fun and exciting, we’ve created a variety of interactive contests and games for campers to enjoy — with prizes awarded throughout the week. These activities encourage teamwork, creativity, and horsemanship skills in a lively and supportive environment. Camp favorites include the always-entertaining horseless horse show, the hands-on grooming contest, an engaging question-and-answer challenge, and an adventurous scavenger hunt. There’s always something fun happening at camp!

Demonstrations:

Throughout the week, campers participate in a variety of engaging horse-related demonstrations led by equestrian professionals, offering valuable insight and inspiration. Campers look forward to these scheduled demonstrations, where they learn through observation and hands-on experiences. During the farrier demonstration, they witness a horse’s hooves being trimmed and prepared for a new set of shoes. Our experienced staff also demonstrate proper horse care techniques and basic health care. Campers additionally enjoy watching professional riders showcase their skills.

Arts & Crafts:

Each day, campers enjoy a variety of horse-themed arts and crafts that spark creativity and reinforce what they’ve learned in the barn. Throughout the week, they create and decorate a special keepsake journal filled with their horse knowledge, fun facts, drawings, and camp memories. Campers also have their photo taken with their favorite horse and decorate it as a treasured keepsake to remember their special week at camp!

Professional Photographs:

Each week, a photograph will be taken of every camper with their favorite horse. During arts and crafts, campers will decorate a picture frame to create a special keepsake.
